Litter is trash that is left in public places. It is also a colossal waste of the Earth’s limited resources, which will eventually run out. Nobody should litter on Earth because littering can pollute the environment and also littering is hazardous. It also endangers animals and birds. Littering can cause mental distress.

In fact, according to Green Eco Services, 75% of Americans admit to littering within past 5 years. Do you Know? Animals consume the litter as their food which results in Health issues for them. Litter on the ground degrades soil quality and impacts plant and animal growth. The most common littered objects are fast food, paper, glass pieces, plastic thus litter has bad odour. It is dangerous and unhealthy for our environment. Litter is ground zero for communicable diseases for which insects and rodents act as carriers. Litter has a negative impact on tourism and economy. The world spends US$11.5 billion a year to clean up litter. Plastic bottles takes 450 years to decompose completely. By 2050 there will be more plastic than fish in our oceans.

Littering reduces the quality of life on Mother Earth. Now, it’s in our hands to protect Mother Earth from litter.
